About Gomry Gomry is an AI‑native event platform targeting the $400B annual advertising budget that goes into events. We are building a proprietary AI‑native ad network that installs on our own and third‑party ticketing platforms, with ultra‑native placements for the event industry. This enables event organizers and small ticketing platforms worldwide to monetize through digital sponsorships effortlessly, without impacting the user experience. We are profitable with ~60,000 monthly active users and backed by investors from Google, Z Fellows, BeReal, Meta, Klarna, Stripe, AppLovin, and Bending Spoons. What you’ll do Build the backend for various user‑facing features. Improve database and infrastructure performance by implementing caching solutions and connection pooling. Enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting so we can respond more effectively to operational incidents. Scale our service via architectural changes and infrastructure improvements. Redefine best‑in‑class software development processes to build a purpose‑built product. Occasionally travel to San Francisco for on‑site collaboration. How we work We maximize trust in our builders. Teams set their own rhythms, communicate directly, and keep meetings to a minimum. Few distractions and a shared respect for uninterrupted focus. Deep thinking time is protected because quality compounds when work has time to develop. Small teams, clear ownership – one to two people per team, assemble around a project, disband when done. One product team, one roadmap – no OKRs or A/B tests; decisions are guided by a north star, customer insight, and taste. Protect quality – we maintain a zero‑bugs policy; bugs are fixed immediately and a weekly bug dashboard keeps balance. Practice the craft – training and feature roasts help us ship with better judgment; over 1,000 small fixes raised the bar. Use constraints – we ask why a feature matters, why now, and for whom, keeping the bar high by saying no. Stay close to customers – we build what customers need, treating requests as input, not instruction. People at Gomry study the world as they move through it, rather than rely exclusively on personal experience for context. They take responsibility for bugs; mistakes happen, but every bug shipped to users is a disappointment.
