About the Role HIKE Footwear has grown from a bootstrapped idea into one of the fastest-scaling barefoot footwear brands globally. In just two years, we’ve built a 90+ person team across four time zones, served more than 1.5 million customers in the U.S., expanded internationally, and are on track to reach multiple nine-figure annual revenue. To support our next phase of growth — and our first hybrid physical office — we’re hiring a Chief Operating Officer who will play a mission-critical role in the long-term success and operational transformation of HIKE. In This Role, You Will Work directly with the founders to architect HIKE’s operational strategy for 2026 and beyond Lead and manage a 90+ person distributed team across customer support, supply chain, logistics, e-commerce operations, product development, creative, and marketing Oversee operations across Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and future retail channels Build and optimize systems that support rapid scaling while maintaining operational excellence Strengthen cross-department execution through clarity, ownership, and accountability Implement structure and processes that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and unlock new growth Support the launch of HIKE’s first physical hybrid office, creating a high-performance operational hub Partner with creative, marketing, finance, product, and development teams to solve high-impact challenges Champion data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization Drive process improvements and technology adoption across logistics, CS, and marketplace operations We’re Looking for Someone Who Has 5+ years experience leading operations at a fast-scaling e-commerce or DTC brand Has operated at COO, VP Operations, or Head of Operations level with proven success Understands the nuances of supply chain, forecasting, inventory, logistics, and cash-flow management Is comfortable managing large, multi-disciplinary teams across time zones Brings clarity, decisiveness, empathy, and high accountability to leadership Thrives in high-growth environments where structure must be built, not inherited Communicates clearly and collaborates seamlessly with creative, product, growth, and engineering teams Has strong analytical foundations and data-driven decision-making Is excited by barefoot culture, natural movement, functional footwear, and product-led brands Approach to the Role Strategic + Hands-On You can architect the next 3 years of operational excellence — but also dive into a process yourself if needed. Builder Mindset You bring frameworks, systems, SOPs, and clarity to teams that need them. Data-Driven You prioritize using metrics, forecasting, and KPIs to guide decisions and validate impact. Cross-Functional Leadership You work effortlessly across creative, growth, supply chain, CS, Amazon, and product development. Customer-Obsessed You understand that operational excellence directly translates into customer experience and brand trust. Compensation HIKE is committed to offering a competitive compensation package aligned with market data and the impact level of this role. For this position, the base salary range is $75,000–$100,000 per year , depending on experience and location. We also offer performance-based bonuses and leadership-track incentives.
