Only an hour south is Branson, where you can take in a family-friendly show, visit Silver Dollar City, and experience world-class shopping at the Branson Landing” About the department The Emergency Department at CMH is a 12-bed unit with three designated trauma beds, designated OB/GYN, cardiac and obstetric rooms, and eight medical beds. We provide emergency services to patients of all ages in 8 counties in Southwest Missouri. A typical day includes Knowingand applyingcurrent nursing theory, principles of treatment, and nursing procedures to care for EmergencyDepartment patients. Assessing the patient; identifying physical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, and social needs Communicating significant data regarding the patient to the charge nurse and ED provider Documenting in-patient and departmental records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner Administering medications as ordered by provider Performing clinical skills to include IV start, Nasogastric tube placement, venipuncture, urethral catheterization and EKG Performing hourly rounding to include vital signs, call light within reach, basic comfort items, etc. Job Requirements Education: Completion of an approved EMT-P training course; preferred education and training with 12 lead EKG, basic Arrhythmia, and NRP Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EMS or in an emergency department setting Skills: Ability to remain calm and exhibit a professional composure during high-stress and crisis situations, medical terminology Licensure/Certification: Active Missouri EMT-P license certification Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking The position is PRN; hours may vary Benefits include Competitive wage Annual merit increase Full suite of insurance benefits available for employee and family Early access to pay with on-demand PayActiv Employee assistance program Paid time off Increased matched savings to Retirement Plan Employee discounts Connect with us See yourself at CMH and join in the fun For more information about this opportunity, please contact Kelly Fender at , or by email at #J-18808-Ljbffr
