Lead Site Reliability Engineer

As a member of our Infrastructure Engineering team, you will join an inspiring team of technologists dedicated to developing and deploying large-scale infrastructure solutions that support JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s diverse and critical businesses.As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you hold a leadership role in your team, demonstrate strong knowledge across multiple technical domains, and advise others on the technical and business issues facing them. Your expertise in analyzing complex data systems, anticipating problems, and finding ways to mitigate risk, will be key in leading a high-performing team to successfully design and navigate the program roadmap.By incorporating your knowledge of business drivers, you'll affect change and lead development of innovative improvements and world-class practices. You'll be part of a tight-knit team that shares your passion for technology, you’ll also gain access to the best minds in the business, both as part of the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global technology community, and through our partnerships with some of the most important technology firms in the world.Job responsibilities - Creates high quality designs, roadmaps, and program charters that are delivered by you or the engineers under your guidance- Provides advice and mentoring to other engineers and acts as a key resource for technologists seeking advice on technical and business-related issues- Collaborates with team members to identify comprehensive service level indicators and stakeholders to establish reasonable service level objectives and error budgets with customers- Demonstrates a high level of technical expertise within one or more technical domains and proactively identifies and solves technology-related bottlenecks in your areas of expertise- Demonstrates expertise in the Hyperconverged Compute and Software Defined Network infrastructure management, deployment, and operations via automated infrastructure as code methodology- Understanding Cloud, Virtualization, APIs, and modern software practices and languages (Ansible, python, java, etc..)- Ensures platform security by following VMware Virtualization security hardening guidelines and VMware Advisories, CVE analysis and remediationRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Advanced experience of working with: VMware Virtualization Product line i.e. VMware Cloud Foundations (ex.. SDDC, vSAN, etc..), Software Defined DataCenter, NSX-T networking, VMware vRealize suite of products (ex.. vRSLCM, vIDM, vRA, vRO, etc..)- Strong hands‑on experience with architecture, design, installation, and integration of IT infrastructure components in large and complex environments.- Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (program management, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)- Large scale Server Estate performance and capacity analysis capabilities using performance management tools (vROPS, Grafana, Thresholds, Alerting, etc.)- Fluency in at least one programming language such as (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, Java Spring Boot,.Net, etc.)- Understanding or have experience with Agile and Lean philosophies. Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts with preference of having played an SRE role- Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills and demonstrated ability to deliver solutions that are resilient, repeatable, and scalable- Drive to self‑educate and evaluate new technology- Ability to expand and collaborate across different levels and stakeholder groupsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - ESXi 7+, vCenter 7+- vCF 4.4+, vSAN- Nutanix, AHV, Flow, Prism Central- Coding: Ansible, Python and/or PowerShell- Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company‑wide standards are metABOUT US J.P.
