**Who are you?**
Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) cover the intersection of Software Engineer and Systems Administrator. In other words, they can both create code and manage the infrastructure on which the code runs. This is a very wide skillset, but the goal of SRE is always the same: to ensure that all SLAs are met, but not necessarily exceeded, so as to balance performance and reliability with operational costs.
As a Site Reliability Engineer I, you will be learning our systems, improving your craft as an engineer, and taking on tasks that improve the overall reliability of the platform.
**In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following**:
- Execute on defined tasks and contribute to solving problems with defined solutions, working within the scope of the team with specific guidance from manager and other SREs.
- Work with team to prioritize tasks that add the most value and deliver high-quality results for customers and stakeholders.
- Understand and effectively participate in the core processes of the team (planning, on-call rotations, incident triage, metrics review, etc).
- Automation of simple tasks to reduce the toil in systems efficiently.
- Identify and suggest improvements to system utilization.
- Learn the fundamentals of sustainably operating services and systems with a focus on reliability, efficiency, automation, and debugging. Gain familiarity with the technologies in use and learn to work against plans and schedules.

- University Degree or equivalent experience- Understand the basics of cloud architectures - able to quickly debug basic system issues.-
- Capable of reading and navigating functions and classes/modules written by others.- Work well in a collaborative team environment.- English language proficiency - both verbal and written
