About the Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Camunda, you will work at the intersection of Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success to ensure the successful adoption and integration of Camunda 8 by our key customers. What You’ll Be Doing Influence product direction based on technical insights and real-world feedback. Strategize with PM, design, engineering, and field teams to solve complex enterprise issues in a repeatable way. Assist with implementation for strategic customers, building tools or prototypes to bridge gaps in product capability or documentation. Partner closely with account teams to solve integration challenges and accelerate value delivery. Customer‑Focused Responsibilities Serve as a customer proxy within Engineering, ensuring real-world needs inform product strategy. Lead and support technical implementation of Camunda 8 from an engineering perspective, including deployment strategies, infrastructure integration, and customization. Identify usage friction points and contribute code (Java, React, Python) or build MVPs to resolve them. Collaborate with account managers, customer success, and consulting to align across functions. Diagnose and resolve complex deployment, integration, and performance issues. Create and maintain advanced documentation and best‑practice resources. What You Bring 2+ years in software development or technical customer‑facing roles. Proficiency in Java and working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and relational databases (SQL, Oracle). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences. Nice‑to‑Haves Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus). Exposure to business process automation (BPMN, workflow engines, Camunda). Open‑source contributions or internal tooling experience. CI/CD and DevOps experience. Compensation Annual total cash compensation ranges by country. Actual offer depends on skills and qualifications.
