Realistic 3D Characters Team Lead – Room 8 Studio A leading game development studio in Argentina is seeking an experienced team lead to direct projects focused on stylized and realistic 3D character creation. You will mentor and manage a talented art team, ensuring high-quality outputs while pushing creative and technical boundaries. Responsibilities Lead projects in stylized 3D character direction, from concept to final production. Execute quality control of all team deliverables, ensuring they meet artistic and technical standards. Assist and resolve artistic and technical challenges, providing clear, constructive feedback. Organize work across project phases and specific tasks to meet deadlines. Create technical specifications, guides, and reference documents for the team. Develop high‑poly and low‑poly models of stylized characters for games, including UV mapping and texture baking. Collaborate with stylized texturing artists and other departments. Qualifications Proven experience as a Project Lead or Team Lead in a stylized 3D character art team within a game development environment. Ability to manage and review team output quality, ensuring it meets artistic and technical standards. Strong mentoring, guiding, and problem‑solving skills within an art team. High‑poly sculpting in ZBrush and Sub‑division modeling in Max/Maya. Knowledge of character topology, cloth simulation (Marvelous Designer), anatomy, UV mapping, and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.). Texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand‑painted techniques. Good understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for stylized character creation. Upper‑Intermediate+ English (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation. Experience in game engines (Unreal Engine 4/5, Unity, etc.) and familiarity with rigging and animation processes is a plus. Benefits Competitive financial reward (USD 9,750,000 – 12,500,000).
