Base pay range About the client: Our client, a U.S.-based personal injury law firm, is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal representation and compassionate support to clients navigating complex injury cases. About the role: We are seeking a Lien & Settlement Coordinator to join our client’s personal injury team. This role is crucial in managing post-settlement processes, including lien resolution, disbursements, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating settlements within a U.S. personal injury law firm, excellent organizational and negotiation skills, and strong attention to financial detail. Key responsibilities: Manage all aspects of lien and settlement coordination for personal injury cases. Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, and lienholders to verify and negotiate outstanding balances. Prepare settlement statements, disbursement sheets, and related financial documentation for attorney review. Track and follow up on medical bills, liens, and reimbursements to ensure timely resolution. Maintain accurate and organized case records within the firm’s case management system. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and accounting staff to finalize settlements efficiently. Provide clear, empathetic communication to clients regarding settlement progress and fund disbursement. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all financial transactions. Desired qualifications: 2+ years of experience in lien resolution, settlement coordination, or legal administration (preferably in personal injury). Strong understanding of medical billing, insurance processes, and lien negotiation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. Proficiency in case management and legal billing software. Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Experience working with U.S. law firms or personal injury practices is preferred. English fluency (spoken and written); Spanish fluency is a plus.
