Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) is an independent risk organization within Wholesale Credit Risk, covering OTC Derivatives (cleared and non-cleared), Futures and Options, Securities Financing and Securities Prime Services, CCPs and Commodities at a counterparty level. Overall group responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Counterparty Risk Measurement, monitoring (and escalating as appropriate) of those risks/exposures, ad hoc risk investigations and analyses for credit officers, sales and senior management, Assessment of CSA terms adequacy, determination of margin requirements including corresponding eligible collateral and valuations where applicable, ownership and maintenance of all credit exposure metrics (continuous adequacy assessment), all related exposure calculation/reporting engines and their development agendas and priorities. In this role, you will be covering risk and margin adequacy assessment across top Hedge Fund clients. The ideal candidate will be risk minded, a team player, decisive, an effective communicator (both written and verbal) and comfortable with quantitative measures of risk which include statistical and non-statistical methodologies to evaluate margins on a client level. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with great exposure to Credit Officers, Sales and Trading and Market Risk colleagues as well as visibility by Senior Credit Risk Management. Job Responsibilities Act as an integral member of the CCR team to support the Top Hedge Fund relationships at JPMorgan. Develop Tableau dashboards and Python queries to support portfolio risk investigation and trend analysis. Identify and monitor client risk profiles and elevate potential exposure concerns to credit officers, senior risk managers, and the front office. Work closely with CCR regional coverage teams and Front Office/Credit Risk/Operations teams to review client requests, such as margin and limits, and assess margin adequacy against stress exposures and potential risks. Develop in-depth knowledge of top hedge fund clients, formulating views on product risk appetite, and effectively review and challenge business stakeholders on risk-related inquiries. Collaborate with Quantitative Research, Technology, Credit Officers, and other stakeholders to continuously review and enhance exposure methodologies and tools related to material hedge fund clients. Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s Counterparty Stress Analysis methodology and apply it to analyze and monitor counterparty exposures within Credit Risk. Collaborate with business and risk partners on counterparty credit exposure, provide guidance and training on methodology releases or model limitations, and contribute to methodology and policy updates. What We Look For In Strong Candidates Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related area Minimum 5 years in risk management including risk monitoring, margining, stress analysis or quantitative financing In-depth understanding of counterparty/liquidity/market risk originated from Equity prime brokerage, Futures and Options and OTC cleared and bilateral derivatives across asset classes (Equity, IR, Credit, FX and Commodities) Self-starter, relying on limited guidance for most complex decision making Strong problem‑solving abilities with a capability to challenge status quo, looking for ways to do things more efficiently and effectively Confident and commercially minded, with the conviction to challenge, make calculated risk judgments, stand by them and clearly communicate the rationale Possess strong analytical and modeling skills to work with complex data to make risk recommendations Strong attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities; must be diligent and self‑motivated Ability to assess impact of market trends and performance on client exposures Interest in client and senior management interaction with strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment managing multiple tasks at the same time Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency in Python and Tableau Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills Modeling and Risk skills utilizing Excel, SQL, Tableau and Python Proficiency in LLM and Artificial Intelligence solutions Candidates with experience in Credit Risk, Portfolio Analytics, or Risk Management who can make immediate contributions preferred Knowledge of financial platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, and Reuters ABOUT US J.P.
