Job Summary Toptal’s Product team builds and scales our platform in close collaboration with Operations and Engineering, ensuring data‑focused initiatives deliver meaningful impact. We are seeking a customer‑centric Senior Product Manager who has a proven track record of owning and delivering results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Your role will be to drive innovation by building and scaling AI‑driven products that expand the breadth and depth of our product and service offering. This is a remote position. Responsibilities Own and lead all aspects of an established agile team, including backlog grooming, prioritization, and cross‑functional coordination, with a focus on delivering AI‑driven product capabilities. Translate AI platform capabilities into customer‑facing, talent‑facing, and internal product experiences that deliver measurable business value. Define the scope of new product features and ongoing feature improvements. Write and prioritize user stories and define acceptance criteria. Establish and maintain a high level of credibility with internal and external partners. Break down complex problems and use data, analytics, and user research to inform product direction and validate AI‑driven solutions. Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team. Run ad‑hoc research and business analyses to assess opportunities and risks. Identify and solve complex product challenges aligned with both short‑term goals and long‑term strategic initiatives. First‑Month Milestones Onboard, integrate into Toptal, and independently study the product suite. Become acquainted with your product area, goals, and key partners. Organize and prioritize the high‑level roadmap and backlog with cross‑functional teams. Collaborate closely with the development team. Take over all in‑flight and planned initiatives. First‑Three‑Months Milestones Own a product category, complete quarterly planning, and set objectives. Launch AI‑driven features that deliver measurable business impact. Embed fully into and own a development team. Monitor and measure success against company goals. Continuously improve the team’s processes through meaningful contributions. First‑Year Milestones Deliver roadmap priorities and promises. Show a record of building impactful products in a timely, elegant manner. Scale your team to meet growing business and user needs. Qualifications and Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline. At least 3 years of proven software product management experience. Experience leading products end‑to‑end from discovery to launch, iteration, and scale in ambiguous environments. Experience managing mobile, desktop, and web applications across the full product lifecycle (plus). Knowledge of AI product development processes and best practices. Experience designing, launching, and iterating on AI‑driven product features and workflows that deliver measurable business outcomes. Experience building intelligent workflows through system integrations and automation tools. Comfortable with SQL or spreadsheets for data analysis, and conducting research with users. Strong data‑driven decision making with diverse tools and methodologies. Creatively craft solutions through data and a customer‑centric approach. Build wireframes and mockups; keep designs simple. Meticulous with a high bar for quality in user stories, design reviews, technical brainstorming, and testing. Humble, willing to learn, and proactive in achieving goals. Proficiency with agile development methodologies and globally distributed teams. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing company and handle a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and contacts.
