About the role The Senior Platform Engineer focuses on designing and implementing cross‑platform solutions, primarily within the ServiceNow environment. This position involves extensive development, administration, and customization of the platform’s features, including ITSM and Strategic Portfolio Management. A core requirement is strong data expertise, ensuring data quality and managing integrations for reporting and system integrity. The role is highly collaborative, requiring support for internal and external users while maintaining high standards for timeliness and customer service. Responsibilities Design and implement workflows, business rules, and UI pages using ServiceNow’s scripting languages and web technologies. Perform system development functions within the ServiceNow platform, including configuration and customization of the system. Design solutions using App Engine and Service Portal. Analyze business and functional requirements to formulate effective design strategies. Translate requirements into technical designs and coding parameters with essential functionalities. Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues by implementing viable, cost‑effective technical solutions without impacting performance or quality. Facilitate UAT sessions with stakeholders. Develop code following industry best practices and organizational development standards. Develop and deploy code using automation and testing tools. Evaluate proposed system acquisitions or solution development, providing input on compatibility, cost, resources, operations, and maintenance. Integrate software components, subsystems, and services into the technical environment; assess impacts and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth implementation. Install, configure, and verify the operation of software components. Participate in developing standards, design, and proactive processes to collect and report data and system performance statistics. Research, design, develop, and implement applications, databases, and interfaces using available technology platforms. Resolve issues across test cycles and continuously improve deliverable quality. Document each development phase for future reference and maintenance. Must have skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and processes. ServiceNow development experience (4+ Years) Experience working with data integrations , including transforming, importing, and validating data across systems. Ability to build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations within ServiceNow or complementary tools. Strong understanding of data models, data governance, and data quality control within enterprise environments. Familiarity with APIs, ETL processes, and integrating ServiceNow with external data sources. Hands‑on experience with enterprise automation platforms (n8n strongly preferred, or equivalent experience with platforms like Zapier, Power Automate, etc. with demonstrated ability to quickly master new automation tools). Proven experience with system integration using REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication flows (e.g., OAuth2) with experience integrating popular business applications such as Airtable, Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, and other SaaS platforms. Nice to have skills ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist. Experience in building AI‑powered workflows, including Multi‑Agent Systems and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) agents, from concept to deployment. Conditions Remote role, with the primary timezone being UTC-5 and a minimum 6 hours of time zone overlap required. Full‑time dedication (40 hours/week) . BYOD is required.
