As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Banking Tech Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market‑leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem, including both .NET Framework and modern .NET (6/7/8+). Build scalable solutions with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems; implement clean‑code principles and industry‑standard design patterns. Work with various database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), design and optimize schemas, queries, and data access patterns, and implement persistence layers using Entity Framework, Dapper, or native drivers. Develop APIs that integrate seamlessly with modern JavaScript applications, participate in full‑stack development when required, and ensure responsive and user‑friendly interfaces. Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams: part of sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment, and contribute to DevOps practices and infrastructure automation. Write unit, integration, and automated test suites; participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards. Implement monitoring and observability solutions to maintain system reliability. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills At least 8 years of experience in similar roles. Proficiency in the C# programming language and experience with .NET Framework and/or modern .NET (Core/5+). Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming principles and software design patterns. Experience with version control systems, primarily Git. Database knowledge: SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis, Cassandra). Ability to design database schemas, optimize queries, and use ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework or Dapper. Front‑end integration experience: React (Hooks, components, state management, modern React patterns) or Angular (components, services, TypeScript, RxJS). Solid fundamentals of JavaScript/TypeScript and experience consuming and integrating REST APIs. Agile and DevOps practices: participation in Agile/Scrum environments, CI/CD concepts and tools, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and DevOps collaboration. Fluent in English.
