You will collaborate with our Content Lead and media team, identify key moments, craft scroll‑stopping content, and iterate using data. You’re probably a fit if you: Get genuinely excited about finding the 60‑second moment in a 60‑minute conversation Understand that pacing, hooks, and retention are skills—not luck Care about data and performance insights, not just creative expression Want to be part of a growing company where ownership and impact are real Embrace "life first, business fills the gaps"—but bring intensity when you’re on the clock You’re probably NOT a fit if you: Need constant direction or hand‑holding to do your best work Treat feedback as criticism instead of fuel for growth Are looking for "just a job" rather than something you can own Chase trends without understanding why they work Responsibilities Content Creation & Editing Edit 15‑25 short‑form videos per week from podcast episodes and long‑form content, maintaining a consistent 48‑72 hour turnaround Identify the highest‑performing moments and craft them into must‑watch clips Add subtitles, captions, and motion graphics to improve accessibility and engagement Keep project files and asset management well‑organized and up‑to‑date Maintain brand consistency across all content while keeping it fresh and platform‑native Performance & Optimization Analyze performance data to understand what’s working and iterate accordingly (data collection, retention graphs, post‑mortem reviews) Adapt editing style based on platform‑specific best practices (YouTube Shorts vs. Reels vs. TikTok) Stay ahead of short‑form trends and experiment with new formats, transitions, and storytelling techniques Conduct competitor analysis and trend research to stay ahead of platform algorithms and audience preferences Communicate daily, promptly, and often. Report progress so we can maintain a seamless workflow Work closely with the content team to execute a cohesive cross‑platform strategy Respond to Slack messages within 4 hours during working hours; participate in weekly team syncs Requirements Technical Skills Expert proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci, or equivalent editing software Strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and emotional beats Experience with subtitles, captions, and basic motion graphics Deep understanding of what performs on each platform (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn) Experience 2+ years editing short‑form content for social media Proven track record of driving engagement—show us clips that performed Bonus: Experience with podcast/interview content, leadership/business content, or real estate Mindset Data‑driven: You interpret analytics to refine your editing choices Speed with quality: Comfortable with fast turnaround without sacrificing craft Ownership mentality: You treat projects like they’re yours, not just assigned tasks Curious and coachable: You ask "why did that work?" and actually implement feedback Results Within 30 Days Onboarded into our systems (Slack, Notion, file management) Producing 5‑10 clips per week at brand standard First‑approval rate of 70%+ Within 60 Days Producing 10‑15 clips per week at full capacity Maintain first‑approval rate of 85%+ Demonstrating clear understanding of what performs for our audiences Within 90 Days Operating independently with minimal oversight Proactively surfacing creative ideas and trend opportunities Ready to contribute to broader content strategy discussions Location Fully remote—work from anywhere with reliable WiFi.
