Build your career as an Accounting Specialist As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting functions, including the monthly close process, account reconciliations, the external audit process, process improvement, and preparation of internal and external reporting packages for management, investors, and key vendors. This role offers tremendous impact and ownership from day one and helps build a scalable finance foundation. Responsibilities Support the accounting closing process to accomplish timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close procedures for key balance sheet and income statement accounts, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare the monthly analytical review of the main account fluctuations. Manage the accounts payable monthly reconciliation process. Reconcile payment processor balances on a monthly basis. Analyze and reconcile shipping and fulfillment costs, leading the topic within the Accounting Department in the relevant squad. Reconcile wholesale transactions (invoices, payments, commissions) and lead the topic within the Accounting Department in the relevant squad and tribe. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, regulations, and company policies by staying up‑to‑date with changes and implementing necessary adjustments. Maintain and improve current accounting processes and infrastructure as the company expands, identifying opportunities for added value and efficiency. Participate in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support to auditors. Qualifications 5+ years of experience at a Big Accounting firm, specializing in auditing or BPO services for retail or e‑commerce companies, or 1+ year as Senior at a Big Accounting firm plus 2+ years as a Senior or Specialist in Accounting within a retail company. Experience with inventory valuation analysis and reconciliation. Excellent spoken and written English. Advanced Excel skills. Strong accounting experience. IFRS expertise.
