Chevron is looking for a Tax Analyst to join our Global Finance team in Buenos Aires. The selected professional will play a key role in managing the company’s tax liability and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, supporting global operations and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Main Responsibilities Prepare and support the filing of tax returns and reports. Manage tax determination processes for customer billing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Perform complex account reconciliations and fluctuation analyses (P&L, balance sheet, payments). Analyze accounting data, inventory adjustments, and transactions for tax reporting purposes. Conduct research on complex tax matters and interact with tax authorities when required. Support both internal and external audits. Maintain and enhance ERP/tax applications and databases. Partner with business units to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance and process efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Tax. 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, finance, and/or audit roles. Solid understanding of accounting principles and business processes. Advanced proficiency in English (oral and written). Strong command of ERP/tax systems – SAP experience preferred. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, global environment. Preferred Skills Experience in U.S. or international direct and indirect taxation. Prior involvement in system implementation or process improvement projects.
