Senior Portfolio Manager - Campaign Coordinator 12 months / fixed‑term – this is a cover role that will be offered until the end of 2025. Greenpeace International is looking for a dedicated Senior Portfolio Manager – Campaign Coordinator to drive impactful global campaigns that promote social and economic justice as part of our broader environmental mission. This role involves overseeing campaign strategy, managing resources, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across our network. The Social & Economic Pillar focuses on transforming dynamics that prevent us from addressing the climate and biodiversity crises. It operates on the premise that meaningful social and economic change is essential—change that meets people’s needs alongside climate and nature goals. Its aim is to promote new economic models, increase funding, and ensure the implementation of climate and biodiversity solutions that protect both people and the planet. The Pillar also seeks to build a broader base of support for urgent action in an increasingly polarized world. Responsibilities Lead global campaign planning and implementation, ensuring alignment with Greenpeace’s mission and coordination with National and Regional Offices (NROs). Oversee campaign activities, managing timelines, budgets, and performance goals to ensure efficiency. Provide guidance to NROs on campaign design and execution, including delivering training to strengthen local teams. Work with other Greenpeace programs to integrate social and economic elements into environmental initiatives, sharing best practices for enhanced effectiveness. Build strategic alliances with NGOs, policymakers, and stakeholders to support campaign goals, ensuring strong partnerships and collective impact. Develop and track metrics to evaluate campaign success, preparing reports to share progress and insights. Engage with policymakers to advocate for campaign‑aligned policies, adapting strategies based on political developments. Lead campaign teams, promoting a collaborative, innovative culture and supporting the growth of junior staff. Represent Greenpeace at public events to build campaign visibility and engage with media for public awareness. Qualifications Proven experience in developing and executing campaigns for social and environmental impact. Strong project management skills such as coordinating resources, managing timelines, and adhering to goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to connect with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to foster teamwork. Great networking skills, with demonstrable experience in building and sustaining partnerships. Agility in adapting to change and shifting priorities. Experience in mentoring and supporting team members’ development. Familiarity with advocacy strategies to engage policymakers. Strong problem‑solving skills and proficiency in identifying solutions for complex issues. Fluency in English; fluency in another language is a plus. Demonstrable support for and belief in the Greenpeace network core aims and values. Digital literacy skills; ability to learn and utilise our digital platforms (G‑Suite, Slack, Zoom) is an advantage. What you can expect You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. Staff can also access our wellness initiatives, such as yoga and meditation, and have the opportunity to join our global Equity, Diversity & Inclusion staff communities.
