We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team at Wakapi and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of high-quality mobile applications. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, Backend, QA) to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance and stability. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies. Contribute to architectural decisions and help guide the technical direction of the mobile team. Mentor mid-level and junior developers when needed. Requirements 5+ years of experience in Android development. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java. Solid understanding of Android SDK, architecture components, and modern development patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, Jetpack). Experience working with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and offline storage solutions. Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines. Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills. Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal (mandatory). Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban). Nice to Have Experience with Jetpack Compose. Knowledge of Firebase services. Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso). Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Contribution to open-source projects or published apps in the Google Play Store.
