We are seeking an IT Generalist with strong networking expertise and customer service acumen to take ownership of customer issues from start to finish in dynamic, ever-evolving environments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues, along with the ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner for a less tech‑savvy audience. Key Responsibilities User Management : Administer Windows Terminal Server environments (both on‑premises and hosted). Network Support : Configure and support Fortinet Firewalls and network devices (WAN, LAN, VPN). Remote Troubleshooting : Resolve technical issues over the phone, including local LAN issues, firewall policies, routing, Windows print services, and server backup/recovery. Server Administration : Manage customer servers, including user account management, shared file access, and print queue configuration. Firewall Administration : Configure site‑to‑site and dial‑up VPNs, manage firewall policies and VLANs, and perform basic network troubleshooting. Documentation : Log resolutions in the call tracking system while adhering to established documentation standards. Collaboration & Customer Engagement : Build strong working relationships with customers and team members. On‑Call Support : Handle after‑hours and emergency requests on a rotational basis. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical customer support role . CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent skill set. Ability to type quickly and efficiently while maintaining detailed case notes during communication. Strong verbal and written communication skills , capable of explaining technical concepts to novice users. Ability to work independently and utilize available resources for issue resolution. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Experience administering and troubleshooting firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.). CompTIA Network+ Certification or equivalent.
