We are looking for a Chief Scientist (Technology and Process Development), who be Olefins and Aromatics process technology expert responsible for process system engineering covering process synthesis, design, modeling and simulation, piloting, separation optimization, integration (e.g. pinch analysis), intensification, optimization, techno-economic and sustainability analysis of new processes. Qualifications : Minimum Post Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering Minimum 15 years of experience in Research and Development of Technologies for Olefins and Aromatics process including alternative technologies with focus on energy efficient and carbon neutral technologies. Cracker Operations; Process Engineering; Chemical Technologies; Carbon Neutral; Project Management. Duties and responsibilities : Demonstrate in depth process knowledge and proficiency on identifying and leading successful research programs for developing advanced technologies in the area of Olefins and Aromatics. Perform CDP and preliminary economic evaluations on new processes and estimate the potential investment and business value. Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies on emerging Technologies / Advancements in Olefins and Aromatics Technology. Prepare technology white paper to translate technical knowledge into relevant recommendations and guidance for senior management. Train and Mentor project leaders and team, effectively utilize global engineering resources and assets in strategic breakthrough technology development projects. Coordinate and collaborate as necessary with external professional bodies (consortium), forums, research entities, expert groups and technology providers to keep abreast with relevant areas and for collaboration to achieve our client business objectives. Two years contract, thereafter renewable by mutual agreement annually. If you are selected, all expenses associated to the relocation process will be borne by the employer. Working hours: 5 days / week (40 hours) ; The normal workdays are Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as rest days. Competitive base salary Benefit for permanency in the company Free medical coverage for the employee and wife and four (4) children below 18 years of age who are staying in KSA, in hospitals and clinics designated by the company. Annual Paid Vacation: Twenty-two (22) working days equivalent to 30 days (Including Weekends). Twelve (12) working days of official holidays per year. Air Tickets: One round trip ticket (economy excursion) per year for employee, his wife and four (4) children below 18 years of age to the point of origin.
