Join Our Team as a Reinsurance Contract Specialist for the Latin America and Caribbean Team This role can be based in any of this locations at LAC: Mexico, Chile, Perú, Colombia or Argentina. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. What you will do Collaborate with the LAC Broking team to construct, deliver, and ensure the quality of contractual documentation for clients, utilising advanced reinsurance knowledge, basic primary insurance concepts, and exceptional writing skills. Draft bespoke wordings and review language on the existing book of business to ensure clarity and compliance. Provide informed and thoughtful recommendations regarding contractual products, going beyond broker instructions to identify potential issues with requested language and approaches as needed. Deliver training and act as the Wording Knowledge Manager for the LAC region, sharing expertise and insights with team members. Manage your own workload and deadlines effectively, coordinating with Brokers and other stakeholders to meet expectations on assigned accounts. Serve as a key partner in the placement process, offering support and expertise as required. Manage a client base for all aspects of reinsurance contracts, ensuring comprehensive oversight and support. Interpret, draft, and assess contracts, conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure that contract wording accurately reflects the intent of reinsurance negotiations. Proactively recommend coverage and wording enhancements, raising potential coverage issues as appropriate. Support Brokers by providing timely and effective responses to all contract-related inquiries from clients and markets. Research and respond to inquiries from Brokers, Clients, and Markets, fostering strong relationships and open communication. What you need to have A Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, finance, or a related field. Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken). A solid understanding of contract law and legal terminology, with familiarity in relevant regulations and compliance issues. The ability to analyze complex information and assess risks associated with contract terms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting clear and concise contracts and negotiating terms with stakeholders. Familiarity with contract management software and tools is beneficial, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. What makes you stand out?
