About the role

We're hiring a Senior Shopify Software Engineer to join a distributed LATAM team working on international e-commerce projects. You'll develop and optimize Shopify stores, build custom features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions for clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain Shopify themes and apps using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

* Build reusable, maintainable code and follow best practices (version control with Git).

* Integrate Shopify stores with APIs, third-party services, and headless setups when required.

* Optimize store performance and SEO fundamentals.

* Collaborate with designers, product managers and other developers to implement features.

* Participate in code reviews, testing and troubleshooting.

* Keep updated on e-commerce trends and Shopify platform changes.

Must-have qualifications (required)

* 5+ years of proven experience in Shopify development (themes, customizations).

* Strong JavaScript knowledge (ES6+).

* Proficiency with Liquid templating language.

* Solid HTML/CSS skills and responsive design experience.

* Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.

— confident in client-facing written and verbal communication.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time in a contractor setup.

Desirable (nice-to-have)

* Experience with React or Vue (for storefronts or apps).

* Knowledge of headless commerce (e.g., Shopify Hydrogen, storefront APIs).

* Experience with Shopify Plus and enterprise-level stores.

* Familiarity with SEO, CRO and web performance optimization.

* Experience working with remote/distributed teams across timezones.
