User Experience Designer

Colored Byte is looking for an E-commerce Experience Designer (UX).

This is a fully remote position at a fast-growing Shopify design and development agency, full of awesome people and exciting e-commerce projects and brands.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a designer that loves data and problem-solving. A designer that loves understanding user behavior using research and tests, and then using design to achieve tangible results based on the findings. What you will do in this UX-focused position:

• Analyze e-commerce data with Google Analytics, Shopify dashboard, and other tools
• Translate data into actionable design tasks and recommendations
• Run A/B tests and analyze results from those tests while collaborating with the team
• Research and run surveys to gather data for e-commerce clients
• Have calls and direct communication with clients and team members in English
• Handle multiple projects at the same time
• Talk to UI designers, developers, and project managers to organize deliverables
• Join calls with clients to present work and explain data and findings
• Recommend and implement design solutions for clients based on data
• Work with the project manager and the available tools to ensure delivery
• Be awesome at communication with the team

What you'll need:

• Fluent English and amazing communication skills
• You LOVE data, research, and the UX process more than visual design
• Understand key e-commerce metrics like conversion rate, AOV, LTV, and others
• Being familiar with Figma, analytic tools, heatmapping tools
• 1 year of experience working for an agency or similar high-pressure environment
• Not being afraid of clients and being able to handle difficult or delicate situations if they arise
• Amazing communication and conflict resolution skills
• Consistent capacity of 40 hours weekly (full-time)
• Being available within the Central Time timezone
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing (writing again because it is super important)
• Being familiar with Slack, Asana/Monday/ClickUp, and willingness to learn new tools
• Learning/adapting fast
• Common sense (solving problems on your own)
• Being accountable, consistent, and responsible (radical ownership)
• Being content working on multiple projects at the same time
• Owning a PC/laptop with a fast, stable, and reliable internet connection

Bonus if you:

• Previous experience with e-commerce working at an agency or brand
• Have experience managing or creating Shopify stores and optimizing them
• Have a background in e-commerce
