Key Responsibilities


The mission of the Data & Analytics Director is to define and lead Trafilea's data strategy, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and accessibility across the organization. This role will oversee data science, data engineering, and business intelligence teams to enable data-driven decision-making. By aligning initiatives with business objectives, the Director will foster innovation, scalability, and a culture of using insights to drive performance.

  • Lead the development and execution of Trafilea's data strategy.

  • Ensure compliance with global data privacy and security standards.

  • Manage and scale high-performing teams across data science, engineering, and BI.

  • Promote a culture of knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and innovation.

  • Ensure data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems deliver accuracy and scalability.

  • Drive adoption of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for modernized infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to ensure data initiatives support business goals.

  • Deliver dashboards, models, and reports that connect operational performance with strategic outcomes.

  • Stay at the forefront of new technologies and methodologies in data science and analytics.

  • Apply advanced analytics and AI to unlock growth opportunities.

Job requirements

  • 10 years in development, 5 in a senior role (Tech Manager)

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

  • Extensive experience in data leadership, ideally in high-growth or e-commerce environments.

  • Proven success in building and managing data science, engineering, and BI teams.

  • Expertise in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).

  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Deep knowledge of advanced analytics, ML pipelines, and data governance.

  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complexity for business audiences.

  • Visionary leader with a balance of strategic thinking and execution focus.
