Job Overview
A 3D Motion Designer creates outstanding and effective 3D motion design solutions that elevate brand storytelling and inspire our clients, taking them beyond their expectations. The Senior 3D Motion Designer & Animator will drive innovation in short films and motion graphics, helping IQVIA and 1HQ reach new creative heights. This role will report into the Head of Global Video in the US while supporting various Creative Directors based in the UK and Netherlands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage motion design projects from concept to completion, delivering 'best + beyond' creative solutions efficiently.
  • Design storyboards and style frames to visualize animation sequences and design direction.
  • Design, model, composite, light, texture and animate in 3D using Cinema 4D and Redshift (generalist)
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams globally and client services to strengthen client relationships.
  • Work independently and as part of a remote team, inspiring and driving great design, and (in the future) mentoring junior and mid-weight motion designers as we grow the team.
  • Maintain regular contact with mentors and peers, learning and challenging creatively.
  • Shape and evolve brand stories through motion graphics and short films, from ideation to final execution.
  • Present creative work with clarity and passion, both internally and externally, in insightful and inspirational ways.
  • Adopt a fluid, collaborative approach to clients and projects, tailoring design tasks to each brief.
  • Demonstrate confident presence in virtual team meetings and client presentations.
  • Act as a brand guardian for assigned projects and be a source of knowledge for peers.
  • Expertise in motion design, with a strong portfolio of motion graphics and short films.
  • Experience working across multiple touchpoints, including branding, digital, social, film, and advertising.
  • Strong implementation experience, taking ideas from concept to polished execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, 3D Motion Design, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in creative or design within an agency or in-house creative team.
  • Located close to the local region office for meetings and working sessions.
  • Strong understanding of creative deliverables across design and digital production.
  • Advanced experience in Cinema 4D and Redshift
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Digital portfolio required at time of application.
  • Hybrid position that would require occasion trips into office locations and various in-person meetings as needed.
  • Fluent English speaker - bilingual or professional proficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
  • A high level of competence of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with AI and a desire to keep up with the latest technology and AI capabilities in motion graphics and film.
  • Ability to interact with creative and account management teams, generating impactful motion solutions built on solid strategic foundations.
  • Ability to think independently, self-start, and run projects from start to finish in a remote environment.
  • Ability to interpret and interrogate creative briefs.
  • Ability to bounce back from feedback and deliver creative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, balancing creativity with meeting deadlines.
  • People skills that build confidence and trust with clients and collaborators.
  • Articulate and inspire when presenting ideas and giving feedback.
  • Ability to pitch concepts to clients and communicate big ideas clearly.
