What are we looking for? We are seeking an experienced Android TV / Fire TV Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack, eager to join a highly talented team.
You will work on products used by millions of users worldwide, directly shaping how people experience entertainment on their TVs.
The ideal candidate combines technical depth with a passion for high-performance, scalable native TV applications, and enjoys contributing to a modern, evolving stack centered on Jetpack Compose, ExoPlayer, Media3 and clean architecture. What Challenges Await You?Design, build, and maintain native Android TV and Fire TV applications.Develop smooth, adaptive UIs optimized for large-screen devices.Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, QA, backend) to deliver high-quality features for high-traffic TV applications.Contribute to architectural improvements and adoption of latest Android frameworks and best practices.Write and maintain unit and instrumented tests to ensure reliability.Work within an Agile (Scrum) environment, bringing new ideas and improvements.Partnering with top-notch Developers to create award-winning user experiences.Give support to the QA team to standardize criteria and guide them in what the customer needs.Willing to gain knowledge of software and open-source technology stacks.Developing applications which receive a high volume of daily active users.Collaborate with design, backend, and product teams to deliver new features.Optimize application performance and troubleshoot technical issues. Minimum Requirements 3+ years in native Android development (Kotlin / Java).Strong experience with ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room, RetrofitFamiliarity with Leanback for ATV/FireTvPractical experience with UI development in XML and/or Jetpack - Compose, and familiarity with ExoPlayer/Media3Familiarity with Clean Architecture patterns MVVM.Solid understanding of performance optimization for TV apps.Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflow (PRs, code reviews).Good communication skills: you will need good communication skills to participate in the discussions.Fast and able learner: you are a fast learner with the aptitude for growing your skillset given the resources, documentation, participation in appropriate projects and guidance.Must be able to work in a team environment from outside of a corporate office.Working in an Agile Scrum environment.
