This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP of Engineering, Institutional Trading in Argentina. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a next-generation institutional trading platform. You will define the engineering roadmap, lead a high-performing team, and deliver multi-asset trading capabilities across equities, options, FX, futures, and derivatives. The position requires strong architectural judgment, execution discipline, and hands-on technical expertise to ensure high performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance in latency-sensitive systems. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across product, risk, operations, and finance to drive platform evolution, enabling sophisticated institutional trading use cases. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering, offering direct impact on the growth and capabilities of a global brokerage platform. Accountabilities:
  • Define and own the engineering roadmap for institutional trading systems
  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing engineering team with a culture of ownership and execution
  • Partner with senior leadership to align engineering priorities with institutional trading and brokerage strategy
  • Design, architect, and deliver institutional trading capabilities across multiple asset classes
  • Drive technical standards for performance, scalability, availability, and operational resilience in latency-sensitive systems
  • Coordinate multiple initiatives across trading, risk, margin, asset classes, and customer-facing tooling
  • Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver production-ready systems
  • Provide technical and architectural thought leadership, mentoring the engineering team and guiding strategic decisions
  • Participate in hands-on engineering tasks, including proof-of-concepts, code reviews, production deployments, and L3 escalations
