The Demo Product Management team provides the core demo assets that empower Solution Engineers around the globe to deliver compelling, best practice demos with minimal demo prep time. We are collaborators, partnering deeply with our stakeholders and expertly project managing and creating demo assets to ensure delivery of a high quality product that SEs can rely on.Role Description:
We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our first team of Solution Developers responsible for building and maintaining our varied demo assets including the Simple Demo Org (SDO) and its subscribers as well as Golden Demo Orgs (GDOs) for our broad set of core Salesforce products.
The Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the team; mentoring and developing the group; helping up-level the team in their product alignment and fostering a community of collaboration & innovation. The Manager will pave the way for the team's success by partnering with our Demo Product Management and Demo Platform teams to build relationships with stakeholders across Product and Solutions with the goals of maintaining alignment of work to top priorities, securing their support and committing resources to accelerate our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Development
- Attract, recruit, interview and hire top talent; create a warm bench of high quality candidates
- Document and maintain onboarding program to ensure successful ramp of new hires.
- Perform employee reviews and evaluations, provide frequent feedback and have courageous conversations with team members to address challenges early on. Acknowledge strengths and areas of improvement, and offer guidance on how they can enhance their skills and performance.

- Lead, manage and develop a team of Solution Developers, providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to ensure individual and team success
- Oversee Solution Developers as they deliver high quality, reliable and on time industry demo assets
- Set clear performance expectations and goals through (V2MOM/Dashboards), provide the necessary resources to support them in achieving these goals and then hold team accountable for delivering against them
- Work with and coach team members to overcome obstacles that hinder progress and to prioritize work appropriately.
- Work with other Demos teams across the Solutions Center of Excellence to continuously improve the demo release process, calendar, programs, tools and templates to scale best practices and drive productivity across the team.
- Collaboratively define team vision & values and keep team focused on top priorities.
- Cultivate relationships and partner with Salesforce Product leaders (Solution Engineering, Product Management, etc) to gain commitment and support for demo projects;
- Meet regularly with Demo Product Managers, Demo Platform and GDO focused teams to understand priorities, challenge & gaps, and ensure Solution Developer and Demo Product roadmaps are aligned to top priority needs.
- Partner with Solutions Center of Excellence and Demos leaders to identify and execute on opportunities to work more efficiently and better serve our SE customers.
- Support the DemoTech leadership team with content for executive presentations to leadership summarizing team's performance and impact on SE success as well as providing technical recommendations and guidance to support the aligned industry strategies
- Be an evangelist for the Demos teams, educating industry leaders and driving communication campaigns to raise awareness & adoption of industry assets.
- Prior experience administering Salesforce using the Sales platform.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management skills
- Comfortable working in a complex environment where resource requests outnumber resource availability
- Possess a growth mindset where learning is an every moment thing, failure is an opportunity to grow, and maintaining a level-head and positive attitude is a well-honed discipline.
- Be a self-starter who takes initiative without waiting for direction
- Be able to successfully manage a remote, global team.
- Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills
- Possess strong analytic capabilities and be well organized
- Be proficient using Google slides, sheets, Slack and comfortable with Reporting
- Prior team management experience; strong leadership skills with proven track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Prior experience as an developer or architect supporting Salesforce implementations
- Salesforce Certifications - Certified Administrator, Certified Advanced Administrator and Certified Platform App Builder.
