Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong leadership abilities to join our team in Buenos Aires. This role involves developing secure, high-performance distributed applications with a key focus on cybersecurity, cryptographic functions, and enterprise-grade Java solutions. You will play a vital role in project delivery, architecture design, and team mentoring within a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based applications.
  • Oversee and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Design and implement security mechanisms such as tokenization and encryption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Apply design patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and software best practices.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs, Web Services, and data sources using JDBC and ORM frameworks.
  • Work on cloud-based applications and modern infrastructure.
  • Define and deliver operational readiness alongside business and third-party stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and review high-level and low-level design documentation (HLD/LLD).
  • Provide technical leadership in an onsite-offshore development model.
  • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and secure development practices.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
  • Strong experience in REST, Web Services, Hibernate, Spring Batch, and SQL.
  • Practical knowledge of cryptographic libraries, secure coding, and tokenization.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience in the payments domain (credit card processing, transaction handling, etc.).
  • Ability to lead a development team and coordinate with global stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to tools for vulnerability scanning, secure coding, and dependency management (e.g., SonarQube, OWASP Dependency-Check, Snyk).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure CI/CD pipeline practices.
  • Experience working with regulated environments or financial services.
