Sr. Release Engineer – SaaS

Our client is seeking a SaaS-focused Release Engineer to lead and scale reliable software delivery processes, product experimentation, and quality control in a modern continuous deployment environment. This is a high-impact role responsible for coordinating releases and ensuring new functionality reaches production safely, efficiently, and with measurable impact.

• Manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across Web, Android, and iOS platforms.

• Implement and maintain Release Engineering practices, including feature experimentation and feature flagging.

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and AWS CDK.

• Set up and monitor product experiments using platforms such as LaunchDarkly and Amplitude.

• Validate critical functionality through automated end-to-end testing, leveraging AI-powered testing platforms where appropriate.

• Work closely with engineering and product teams to surface risks early and ensure smooth, stable releases.

• Serve as the final checkpoint before production, with a focus on user experience, performance, and platform stability.

• Prior experience in Release Engineering or similar roles, ideally within SaaS environments.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CDK).

• Familiarity with feature flagging (e.g., LaunchDarkly) and product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude).

• Experience designing and executing controlled product experiments.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, including AI-assisted testing solutions.

• Detail-oriented mindset and strong ownership in fast-paced development environments.

• Experience in early-stage or rapidly growing startups.

• Background in consumer-facing web and mobile applications.

• Product and user-centric approach to quality and release management.
