The Opportunity:

What You'll Do:

• Architect & Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure using core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Build CI/CD Pipelines: Automate testing and deployment with modern CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or AWS native services.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code: Write reusable, state-managed modules using Terraform/OpenTofu and the AWS CDK. You treat infrastructure like software.
• Own Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools like Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch to ensure system reliability and proactive issue resolution.
• Drive DevSecOps: Integrate security and compliance checks directly into the CI/CD pipeline (shift left) and enforce IAM least-privilege, security groups, and encryption best practices.
• Optimize for Cost (FinOps): Continuously analyze cloud spend, identify waste, and implement cost-saving measures like rightsizing, spot instances, and auto-scaling strategies.
• Build Internal Developer Platforms: Create self-service infrastructure capabilities that empower development teams to deploy faster and with less friction.
• Collaborate Globally: Work closely with development teams across time zones to streamline code deployment, reduce friction, and communicate complex infrastructure decisions clearly.

Who You Are:

You are a seasoned engineer with at least 4 years of hands-on AWS experience. You are passionate about automation, obsessed with clean documentation, and excited by the challenge of building systems that are both resilient and cost-efficient. You communicate clearly, write maintainable code, and are comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed team.

Required Qualifications:

• AWS Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is mandatory.
• Infrastructure as Code: Deep proficiency with Terraform/OpenTofu (preferred) and AWS CDK. You know how to design reusable, state-managed modules.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and foundational knowledge of container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
• CI/CD Mastery: Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or AWS native tools (CodeBuild, CodePipeline).
• Observability: Deep understanding of metrics, logs, and traces. Experience instrumenting applications and infrastructure with Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch Logs Insights.
• Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of load balancers, routers, web application firewalls, and ingress controllers.
• Security First: Deep understanding of IAM least-privilege, security groups, encryption, and implementing security throughout the CI/CD pipeline.
• FinOps Familiarity: Experience analyzing cloud spend and implementing cost-saving strategies.
• Scripting Skills: Ability to automate tasks using Python, Bash, or JavaScript (primarily for debugging and tooling).
• Version Control: Experience managing and overseeing GitHub Enterprise stability and security.
• Communication: C1/C2 level English proficiency (advanced/native fluency) with the ability to explain infrastructure decisions to developers and stakeholders clearly.
• Documentation: Strong documentation practices—you write clear, maintainable runbooks and architecture notes.

Nice-to-Haves:

• AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
• Experience with Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS, Workers).
• GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
• Vulnerability scanning experience (Trivy, Snyk).
• Familiarity with Backstage or similar Internal Developer Platform (IDP) frameworks.
• Experience with additional AWS services: Route53, SNS, ECR, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB.
• JavaScript/TypeScript experience (for debugging Lambda functions).
