Collections Agent

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Collections Agent to join our team. The Collections Agent will be responsible for contacting customers and clients regarding overdue accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:

Contact customers and clients to discuss overdue accounts.
Negotiate payment plans and arrangements to settle outstanding balances.
Update account information and records accurately.
Maintain professionalism and customer service while dealing with sensitive financial matters.
Utilize collection software and tools effectively to manage accounts and track progress.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding debt collection practices.
Achieve collection targets and goals set by management.
Provide regular updates and reports on collection activities.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Collections Agent or similar role preferred.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of collection laws and regulations (preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with collection software (desired).
High school diploma; additional certification in Finance or related field is a plus.
