Collections Agent

Overview:
We are looking for a diligent and motivated Collections Agent to join our team. As a Collections Agent, you will be responsible for contacting individuals or businesses with outstanding debts and negotiating payment arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

Contact delinquent customers via phone, email, or mail to negotiate payment terms.
Document all communication with customers regarding payment arrangements.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
Follow up with customers to ensure payment deadlines are met.
Provide exceptional customer service while assisting customers with payment-related inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and disputes.
Stay up-to-date with collection laws and regulations.
Requirements:

Previous experience in collections or a related field preferred.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of collection laws and regulations is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or related field is a bonus.
