Job Description

As a Lead/Senior Shopify Developer, you will translate client requirements into technical development, design schemas, and integrate with content management solutions and search engines, unlocking the business value of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a great Digital Consumer experience based on a foundation of Shopify.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on all website preparation and all site updates
  • Assist with requirements definition, specifications, vendor selections, design, development, and timelines for key initiatives
  • Ensure a smooth connection with Marketing Tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps to optimise the shop for overall efficiency and functionality
  • Assist with code reviews and pull requests
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation
  • Define best practices to implement non-functional requirements like performance and scalability of the e-commerce solution
  • As Senior specialist, mentor and train Junior/Middle developers
Qualifications
  • You have at least 5 years of web development experience;
  • Broad shop construction, launch, and maintenance expertise, as well as a general understanding of the admin system;
  • Previous experience implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions if needed. Working knowledge of third-party services and APIs, as well as Shopify plugins
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks;
  • Working experience with Docker, Varnish, Redis, ElasticSearch or Solr.
  • HTML 5, CSS 3 - would be considered as an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
  • Good English, both, written and spoken
  • Any DEV-oriented certification is an advantage
