About The Role
We are seeking a Staff Accountant with a strong Accounts Payable focus. You will own end-to-end AP in NetSuite and provide next-level accounting support: journal entries, light balance sheet reconciliations, and special projects. This is a hands-on role that reports to the Controller and supports upcoming store-opening analytics.

Role Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Ownership:

• Enter and process vendor invoices in NetSuite with high accuracy

• Validate coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Prepare weekly payment runs and reconcile vendor statements
• Maintain vendor records and manage inquiry resolution

• Assist with 1099-equivalent vendor data collection as relevant to the IC model

• Month-End Support:

• Prepare standard journal entries related to AP, accruals, and prepaids

• Perform light balance sheet reconciliations tied to AP subledger, accrued liabilities, and related accounts

• Assist with variance checks and provide supporting schedules

• Store-Opening and Project Analytics:

• Track construction and buildout spend for the new Clifton Park store

• Help produce simple P&L snapshots and cost-to-complete views for projects

• Support ad hoc analyses requested by the Controller

• Continuous Improvement:

• Partner with the team and a NetSuite consultant to validate and improve AP workflows

• Propose process enhancements that increase accuracy, speed, and vendor satisfaction

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience with a strong Accounts Payable Foundation
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP for Accounts Payable Invoice processing and Basic GL work
• Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills for schedules and reconciliations
• Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals
• Experience with journal entries and light balance sheet reconciliations
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to work U.S.-aligned hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-entity or multi-location retail experience
• Experience supporting store openings or capital project tracking
• Prior remote contractor experience working with U.S.-based teams
