About The Role
We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to replace a departing team member and take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. This role is ideal for someone highly organised, autonomous, and experienced with small-business accounting workflows.
Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting tasks using QuickBooks.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Generate and send invoices using Google Suite templates.
  • Handle payment processing and collections to ensure timely cash flow.
  • Coordinate through Slack, email, and Zoom for internal communication.
  • Maintain secure organisation of documents in Google Drive.
  • Support booking and payment workflows for off-site science/art programs (experience in this area is a plus).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Proven experience with invoicing, reconciliations, and collections.
  • Reliable internet, computer, and work setup.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Availability to work 9 a.m.–1 p.m. EST.
