AI Engineer

Elevation AI is seeking a hands-on, inventive AI Engineer with deep expertise in agent development to design, build, and scale intelligent, autonomous systems. You'll be at the forefront of shaping how generative AI is applied in production—building agents that combine reasoning, planning, tool integration, and multi-step orchestration to transform business workflows.This is a technical builder role with significant ownership. You will architect production-ready agents, push the boundaries of what agentic AI can do, and directly influence the evolution of our platform and engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Deploy Agents – Design, build, and scale autonomous agents capable of reasoning, tool usage, API integration, memory, and multi-step task execution.

• Production-Grade Systems – Ensure scalability, observability, and security when deploying agents into client environments.

• RAG & Data Pipelines – Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector database integrations, and adaptive knowledge retrieval.
• Multi-Agent Orchestration – Build workflows for delegation, collaboration, and emergent reasoning across multiple agents.
• Iterate & Improve – Measure performance, implement reflection and self-correction loops, and optimize for efficiency and reliability.

• Research & Apply – Explore and integrate new techniques (GraphRAG, MCP libraries, reinforcement learning, safe AI alignment).

• Cross-Team Collaboration – Partner with product, concierge, and client delivery teams to turn use cases into deployed solutions (copilots, automation, decision systems).

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Capability

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence.
• 2–4+ years of software engineering, with exceptional proficiency in Python (TypeScript/Go a plus).
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI agents using orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI, LlamaIndex etc.).
• Strong practical understanding of LLMs, agent architectures, and production deployment challenges.
• Hands-on with vector databases and RAG pipelines.
• Skilled in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, LLaMA, etc.).
• Familiarity with MLOps for LLMs (deployment, monitoring, evaluation, feedback loops).
• Solid grounding in system design and distributed architectures.
• Experience with AI coding tools (Cursor, Co-Pilot, etc.).Ways to Stand Out
• Experience with autonomous frameworks (AutoGPT, BabyAGI, CrewAI, or custom).
• Prior work in startups or fast-paced environments with high technical ownership.
• Applied research or projects in multi-agent systems, reflection, or emergent behavior.
• Experience deploying on AWS/GCP/Azure with scalable infrastructure.
• Open-source contributions in the agentic AI ecosystem.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $7, $8,700.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
