Role Overview
Location: Remote – Buenos Aires, Argentina
Reports to: Supply Chain Director
We are seeking a
Procurement Manager
to strengthen our Supply Chain organization. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional focused on operational purchasing, tactical negotiations, and data-driven analytical support. You will take ownership of day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring the function remains efficient and responsive as our supply chain increases in complexity.
What you will do:
Operational Procurement & Execution
Ensure all supplier and co-manufacturer commercial agreements (pricing, MOQs, lead times, terms) are accurately documented, maintained, and available in company systems to enable effective PO execution by the Supply Planning team.
- Support cross-functional alignment between Procurement, Supply Planning, suppliers, and co-manufacturers when delivery constraints or changes require commercial or contractual intervention.
- Establish the framework and parameters used to measure supplier performance, supporting Supply Planning and Operations in identifying risks and escalation needs.
- Lead the process of commercial and financial vendor claims.
Take full ownership of maintaining and improving the current Ingredient Usage model.
Tactical Negotiations & Sourcing
Lead negotiations for designated categories, and support contract renewals for mid-impact suppliers in coordination with Supply Chain leadership.
- Manage the end-to-end Request for Quotation (RFQ) process for designated categories, including scope definition, supplier engagement, quote evaluation, and recommendation of sourcing decisions.
- Conduct "price challenger" analysis by obtaining and evaluating quotes across all categories, including ingredients, packaging, and transportation.
Lead cost reduction initiatives, identifying savings opportunities through supplier negotiations, sourcing alternatives, specification optimization, and volume leverage.
Analytical Support & Market Intelligence
Build and maintain market benchmarks using tools such as Mintec, translating market insights into actionable inputs for pricing strategy and supplier negotiations.
- Analyze cost variances versus budget and assumptions, and assess their impact on forecasts and cost cards, providing clear explanations and insights on key cost drivers.
- Develop scenario models to support upcoming negotiations and supply/demand balancing models for materials.
What You Have:
- Experience: Approximately 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain. Experience in the Food or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with ERP systems are required.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to leverage AI tools for data analysis and process optimization.
- Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong operational discipline, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
