We are looking for a
Software Architect
to lead the end-to-end technical design of a high-volume broadcast messaging platform built on AWS.

This is an internally focused role responsible for defining the architecture, guidelines, and engineering standards that enable scalable, secure, and cost-efficient delivery of short-code and messaging workflows.

The architect will partner closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to translate requirements into actionable designs and provide hands-on support throughout implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the high-level architecture for a messaging solution using AWS-native services and telecom integrations.
• Produce HLDs, architectural blueprints, system diagrams, and integration patterns aligned with AWS best practices.
• Establish technical guidelines, API standards, data flow models, and coding conventions for implementation teams.
• Collaborate with engineering leads to ensure architectural direction is followed across development stages.
• Evaluate and design integrations with telecom providers, SMS aggregators, and short-code delivery channels optimized for broadcast volume.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks related to scalability, throughput, reliability, and operational cost.
• Define DevOps, SRE, and QA expectations including CI/CD practices, test strategies, observability requirements, SLAs/SLOs.
• Provide hands-on support in critical areas of the codebase (POCs, core modules, performance tuning).
• Ensure adherence to cloud security fundamentals, IAM, and AWS-native network segmentation models.
• Support the implementation of AI assistants and agentic solutions when applicable.

You Are a Good Match If You Have

• Strong experience as a Software Architect designing cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Deep expertise with AWS services such as Lambda, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, and core networking components.
• Proven ability to architect high-throughput, distributed, or event-driven systems.
• Strong foundation in secure API design, microservices patterns, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
• Experience creating architectural documentation and defining engineering guidelines for development teams.
• Ability to work hands-on with engineering teams when needed (POCs, critical components, performance improvements).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple requirements in parallel and driving estimation efforts for the team.
• Understanding of cloud security fundamentals, identity and access patterns, and AWS network design.
• Ability to set DevOps, SRE, QA, and observability expectations aligned with architectural goals.
• Interest in supporting AI-driven and agentic solution integration.

Nice To Have

• Experience integrating with SMS gateways, telecom APIs, or short-code messaging platforms.
• Exposure to throughput modeling, cost optimization, and performance engineering for large-scale messaging systems.
• Experience working with observability stacks (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, X-Ray, Datadog, etc.).
• Familiarity with messaging compliance workflows (opt-in/opt-out flows, delivery receipts).
• Understanding of SRE practices such as error budgets, health indicators, throttling strategies, and graceful degradation.
• Experience implementing Cursor-based agentic solutions.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript codebases.
