Our platform enables global companies to accept payments in local currencies through native methods in each country, facilitating their international expansion.We are looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to design and build the core services that power the company’s global payment platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance as we expand across emerging markets. Responsibilities:● Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our payment platform.● Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of distributed systems.● Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.● Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.● Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with fintech standards.● Contribute to CI/CD improvements, observability, and system reliability practices.● Mentor peers and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Requirements:● 5+ years of experience in backend software development with complex, distributed and concurrent systems.● Minimum of 2 years within the Fintech environment experience.● Strong proficiency in Java or Go (Golang), with hands-on experience in Spring Boot, REST APIs, GoRoutines and microservices architectures.● Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, SNS/SQS, CloudFormation, etc.).● Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RDS).● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines) and Docker.● Strong understanding of API security, authentication (JWT, OAuth2, Auth0), and cloud based environments.● Fluent in Spanish and intermediate/advance in English.● Commitment to a stable, full-time, and exclusive engagement.
