We are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative **Cloud Security Engineer **to join our Cybersecurity Team.
You'll play an integral part in driving Onapsis' security posture and will be primarily focused on establishing, implementing, and overseeing the overall security of the cloud platform. You will be a part of a team that will design, develop, deliver, and maintain a cloud based software solution using modern orchestration technologies. Your main focus will be ensuring the security of the underlying cloud infrastructure.

**Key activities and responsibilities**:

- Planning, researching, and designing reliable, powerful, flexible and scalable cloud security pipelines.
- Design, develop and implement security architectures and processes for the cloud.
- Coordinate and perform vulnerability testing, risk analysis and security assessments on cloud environments.
- Work together with the SOC Team to define the cloud security incident response plan and to analyze cloud security breaches to determine their root cause.
- Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures.
- Develop and publish Cloud Security standards, guidelines, and recommendations based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements to business stakeholders, vendors, and all information technology departments.
- Train fellow employees in cloud security awareness and procedures.
- Research the latest cloud security trends.
- Develop security scripts/tools and integrate security solutions to automate the cloud security operations.

**Required skills and aptitudes**:

- 5+ years of technical experience with establishing and implementing securing best practices in AWS cloud.
- Practical experience on programming/scripting to automate security tasks using languages like Python.
- Knowledge of using modern cloud deploy pipelines including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and/or Containers Orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes).
- Practical experience working in an agile environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate spoken and written English level.
- Strong self motivation and orientation toward results.
- Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.

**Desired skills and aptitudes**:

- Practical experience on security basics such as protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, networking, operating systems and endpoint security.
- Practical experience on Software Development Lifecycle, DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery (Git, Gitlab & Atlassian Suite).
- Practical experience performing security assessments.
- AWS Solutions Architect and Security certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, SOC2, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, CIS Critical Security Controls, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) and related security principles for risk identification and analysis.
