We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer based in Argentina to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a Non-profit Organization based in New York. Our client is committed to creating an empathetic world where nobody feels alone, providing free, 24/7, confidential, high-quality text-based mental health support and crisis intervention in English and Spanish. The person in this role will be responsible for strengthening our client’s cloud and network security posture, focusing on securing their AWS environment, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring strong security practices across cloud infrastructure and applications. Responsibilities Serve as a cloud security subject matter expert and partner with engineering teams to apply security policies, review architecture changes, and support secure development practices. Perform cloud security assessments, audits, and risk reviews across infrastructure and applications. Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and support DevSecOps processes. Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and participate in on-call rotations. Drive vulnerability management activities and maintain security documentation such as security plans, threat models, requirements, SBOM, and risk management artifacts. Design and maintain network security controls, segmentation, and firewall rules, while improving secure by default patterns. Build automation to support threat detection, incident containment, and network access management. Create, update, and improve product security processes, and advocate for proactive security input across the product life cycle. Assist with policy management, security audits, due diligence, and vendor cloud security reviews. Requirements Advanced Level of English. 7+ years of experience in cloud security with deep expertise in AWS. 4+ years of experience in network security and cloud edge security. Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other similar IaC tools. Experience configuring AWS services such as VPC, Security Groups, NACLs, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Config, KMS, IAM, and WAF. Ability to build automations or guardrails with Golang or Python. Experience participating in on-call rotations and supporting incident response. Experience with GCP or on premise environments based on the provided descriptions. Solid understanding of network architecture and protocols. Bonus Points Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields. Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, or CWPP platforms. Experience with container and Kubernetes security including EKS or AKS. Experience with application architectures such as APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices. Proficiency in crafting Rego rules for Open Policy Agent or similar policy as code tools. What we offer Long term positions. Compensation in USD. Paid time off. Cool clients and products.
