Job Requirements

The position will be responsible for estimating and monitoring loss, expense for the short duration business of Chubb Latin America, managing actuarial books and monitoring the UCE for all line of business.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform quarterly loss reserve reviews - includes estimating prior accident year ultimates /ultimate loss ratios, UCER/ULAE, EBNR
- Produce of all quarterly reserve documentation in agreement of actuarial standards and SOX internal requirements
- Monitor and verify monthly reserve changes as recorded in the P&L.
- Monitor actual versus expected loss emergence - monthly
- Input, monitor and verification of loss ratio inputs as recorded in the forecast P&L.
- Monitor and manage reserving actuarial books
- Coordinate and prepare the reserving presentation for the committee
- Discuss with pricing actuaries their estimates of the prospective accident year loss ratios as required in the annual planning process and during the year at each reserve review
- Communicate and interact with personnel in underwriting, claims and finance areas in the various countries as needed
- Support and coordinate reserving activities such the calibration of the loss development factors.

Work Experience

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 5+ years of experience in reserving or pricing in USA or Latin America insurance markets.
- Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related fields.
- Proficient in Excel and MS Office, knowledge of ResQ or other reserving software ideal
- Good communication skills (written and oral); capable to influence in decisions; and a good “problem solving” attitude.
- Spanish and English skills are required
