What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Supervisor, Financial Reporting responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance, and sales compensation management. This role will also foster collaboration across various business functions, ensuring accurate and timely statutory and management reporting.

What are we expecting from this role?- Prepare statutory financial statements for local regulators.- Generate timely and accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly) required by the regional group office and local management, covering insurance reporting and sales metrics for informed decision-making.- Enhance data visibility and provide actionable insights through the development and maintenance of reports using platforms like Power BI, ensuring customizable views, frequent updates, and integration with various data sources for expense and financial data study and reconciliation.- Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L) in compliance with IFRS, ensuring accurate classification and status of financial information as required by the Regional Head Office.- Conduct thorough variance analysis and provide insightful analytics to assist management in understanding business performance and dynamics.- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of financial reporting quality and templates, as well as contribute to process documentation efforts.- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Tax Book requirements for Trial Balance and Income Tax, and contribute to Tax Planning activities.- Collaborate closely with Actuary, MIS, Planning, Sales & Distribution, IT, and Accounting teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate data submission for monthly, half-year, and annual reports to the Regional Head Office.- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by local management, other relevant departments, and the Group.- Manage and accurately calculate sales and partner compensations.- Actively engage in cross-functional workstreams across the business, contributing to projects such as identifying new commercial partners, digital transformation initiatives, and enhancing workplace culture.

Who are we looking for?- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is advantageous.- Experience in preparing budgets, conducting variance analysis, and generating management reports is a significant advantage.- Prior experience within the insurance or the wider financial industry is preferable.- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.- Demonstrated good critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.- A proactive approach to interacting and collaborating effectively with other stakeholders across different teams.- A strong willingness to learn and develop professionally within the organization.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management System would be highly beneficial.
