Minimum qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a data analytics or data science client-facing role (i.e. consulting/sales engineering)
- Experience in manipulating datasets (i.e. SQL), databases, and/or using business intelligence tools
- Experience working with data to solve business problems
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Looker
- Experience delivering presentations and demonstrations to business and technical audiences
- Ability to learn new solutions and product lines and communicate the value of those products

As a Customer Engineer, you will be the technical advocate for our prospects and customers. You will work closely to understand their needs and demonstrate how Looker can add value to their data workflows. You will partner closely with your business counterparts to acquire customers, expand relationships, and cultivate business growth. You’ll help shape our product roadmap based on the needs and requirements of the customers you work with.
Looker is a unified platform that powers data experiences and delivers actionable business insights to employees at the point of decision. Looker integrates data into the daily workflows of users to allow organizations to extract value from data at web-scale.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop customized presentations, demonstrations, and prototypes of our software to articulate use cases and value to the customer.
- Participate in selling the value of Looker’s products using multiple channels (e.g., phone, presentation, and live online and in-person product demonstrations).
- Manage customer trials, ensuring they are engaging with the product, the trial and the resulting solution.
- Articulate and educate on technical and architectural concepts to a variety of audiences (e.g., developers, architects, and IT).
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs as necessary, leveraging and building upon the existing knowledge base.
