Qontigo is currently seeking a qualified Accounts Payable Team Lead to provide leadership and support to the accounts payable function and finance operations, including overseeing P2P processes, issue resolution and process improvement.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and record assigned payment request tasks, ensuring proper documentation and coding are present, and policies are upheld.
- Perform reviews and approvals for wire payment transactions to foreign entities, or vendor payments.
- Create accounting entries to record invoice accruals, reclasses, other entries as assigned.
- Support the T&E function, when necessary, by auditing expense reports or approving reimbursements.
- Collaborate with AP Analyst to process weekly payment run.
- Review new and updated vendor paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax regulations and organization's policies and procedures.
- Ensure any policy exception approvals are obtained.
- Reach out to suppliers and local tax authorities regarding notices and resolve payment issues.
- Ability to help other members of the Accounts Payable team.
- Support month-end/year-end close by overseeing the invoice and accrual process.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.
- 5+ years experience in Accounting or Finance related field is required.
- 1099 tax form filling experience is required.
- Experience with global entities and financial services is a strong plus.
- Experience with SAP ERP system and Travel & Expense management tool is a must.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Proven ability to prioritize, take proactive action as appropriate, and achieve results in a complex, fast-paced
- environment.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate and communicate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels, both internal and external.
- Integrity to manage sensitive information and adhere to internal controls, company policies and guidelines.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
