- The Role
- Data DevOps Engineer (AWS/Elasticsearch/SQL/Python) - Data Portfolio Management
- Data is a critical business asset which requires prudent handling to be valuable.
- We treat data at Proofpoint with respect it demands as it empowers the data-driven decisions we make to protect our customers and expand our business.
- Proofpoint is looking for a passionate DevOps engineer to join our team and own a big part of our data management systems.
- Job Requirements
- We are looking for a driven engineer with a passion for problem solving and skills that span multiple disciplines from years of hands-on experience.
- What you bring to the team:
- Strong foundation in software and data engineering practices
- Solid experience with designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large data systems
- Working knowledge of SQL and no-SQL databases
- Experience with deploying and managing services in AWS
- Comprehensive ability to diagnose and remediate complex issues
- An instinct for learning why things work the way they do using experimentation and deductive reasoning
- Ability to work independently yet fully integrate with remote teams
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with the following technologies is desirable: AWS, Elasticsearch, SQL, Linux, Python, Java, Puppet
