We are currently looking for an **OPERATIONS MANAGER - LATAM** to join our team
**What you can expect in this role**:
Reporting to the Executive VP, Operations & Infrastructure, the Manager is a key member of the global Operations team responsible for management of the daily operational aspects of **one facility in** Rio Cuarto, Argentina and two facilities in Paraguay** as well as leading the design and execution of construction and maintenance on existing and new facilities. The Manager will develop and implement operational and project management systems and processes which drive excellence and strategic objectives.
**More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the performance and leadership of the Operations team
- Responsible for the contribution, implementation and management of all site operations
- Ensures effective 24-7-365 response protocol is in place for hash rate drops and secures optimized hash rate performance, as well as manages potential problems and coordinate their resolution between departments who may be based in Canada
- In collaboration with the Latam Construction Manager, supports the execution of major renovation and construction projects
- Through the leadership of a Maintenance Technician, ensures the effective execution of minor renovation and day to day maintenance projects
- Participates in the preparation of the annual Operations/Infrastructure budget
- Manages environmental complaints and actively participates in all meetings and/or communications with the various stakeholders
- Collaborates in the evaluation of potential sites for the expansion of operations as well as the development of our global operations
**Here's the profile we're looking for**:
- Bachelor’s degree in project Engineering, Management, Operations or Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience managing operations in an electrical, industrial or data center environment
- Fluent in English, written and spoken/ Some knowledge in French language desirable
- Strong knowledge of project and construction methodology, lean manufacturing concepts, financial management, as well as regulations, legislation and contractual management governing the completion of a construction project
- Availability to travel regularly between sites in Argentina and Paraguay, depending on the needs of each site
**A few more relevant details**:
- This position could be based either in Rio Cuarto, Argentina or Villarrica, Paraguay with regular traveling between these cities, staying min. 3/4 days per week on site
