As a global leader in Taste & Scent, we are always looking to add passionate and innovative members to our team **About You**: The Project Engineer is accountable for project results that achieve business objectives and is responsible for translating those business objectives into the capital project objectives. The Project Engineer must understand the roles, responsibilities, and contribution of functional members of the Project Team and empower them to do their jobs. The Project Engineer is the primary link between the Project Team and the Business Unit Steering Team (Sponsor). As the interface between the design group and the business team, the Project Engineer monitors the site capital budget to help the business maintain focus on their needs. The Project Engineer is accountable to the business, working with the site management, technology, maintenance, EHS, contractors, and operations to bring maximum value to the business through effective leadership of the work order planning and implementation process. The Project Engineer is accountable to Engineering and the consolidated site engineering team to ensure the optimum utilization of design resources, compliance the capital execution process and alignment and utilization of accepted standard site work processes. **Functional Responsibilities**: - Leads and organizes the Project Leadership Team - Ensures all non-capital alternatives to meet the business objectives have been evaluated - Accountable, through the Project Leadership Team, for acquiring and releasing project resources, as needed, during the life of the project - Leads the development of the roles and responsibilities definitions for the project and preparation of the project RACI diagram(s); ensures each functional team member understands their role and deliverables - Manages overall project expenditures and schedule to meet business expectations - Manages the “Management of Change” procedure - Performs economic evaluations, prepares funding requests, forecasts capital and non-cap expenditures and asset write-offs, and ensures necessary financial reporting and accounting is performed. - Accountable for the overall integrated project schedule - Accountable for total project cost and investment **Job Requirements**: - English spoken and written fluently is required - Project management certification will be a plus - Travel is mínimal < 10% - Knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, quality control, costs and site-specific quality programs such as GMP’s, HACCP, ISO, etc. - Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. - Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks - 3 to 5 years of experience in capital execution in relation with Flavors and Fragrances business - SAP, MS Office Tools, EcoSys system knowledge - General knowledge of construction and contracting practices. - General knowledge of estimating practices and the ability to review estimates in detail. - Basic knowledge of accounting practices. - Demonstrated ability to make effective oral presentations.
