In Vates you will participate in different projects made up of multicultural teams distributed in different parts of the world. We are looking for proactive leaders, oriented to teamwork, passionate about programming and who seek to provide the best experience to the end user.
**Responsibilities of this role include**:
- Promote approved agile methodologies, leading the design and development efforts for the agile team.
- Actively coach, guide and mentor team members in providing valuable solutions to the customers.
- Translate stakeholder’s requirements into common language that can be adopted for the use with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Provide support to business users to assist with day to day production activities, as required.
- Recommend new development strategies and procedure improvements to the development team.
- Help drive technology direction and choices of technologies by making recommendations based on experience and research.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in Java (5+ years)
- Spring framework (3+ years)
- JUnit and Maven
- Strong understanding of SQL (selects, inserts, joins, stored procedures, functions)
- Code management tools
- Applied object oriented design patterns
- TDD / BDD development methodology
- UI development approach with expertise in Angular, Centric, UI unit testing, for microservices-based development.
- MS SQL Server
- Continuous integration / Kubernetes/ Selenium / Cucumber/ Gherkin
- Agile Methodologies: Scrum / Kanban
- Jira / Confluence
