We are looking for a **Data Engineer **to join the **Product Metrics **team **.

As a Data Engineer at Mulesoft, you’ll be responsible for maintain, improve, redesign and redefine product data pipelines, using AWS technologies, with strong focus on integrate new data sources to aggregate that information on a Redshift Data warehouse, to provide a variety of reports and dashboards using Tableau across the entire Mule Organization.

MuleSoft Data Engineers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and are naturally curious self-learners, and build the right solution for the long term rather than the right solution for right now.

**Your impact**:
3 Months
- Become comfortable with analytics tools and processes by partnering with a member of analytics team to ramp up effectively
- Successfully collaborated with a functional team to implement a star schema in the data warehouse

6 Months
- Participate in at least one major platform release
- Work with the analytics team and business functions to deliver more significant, longer-term, or larger-scale projects

9 Months
- Own a design and implementation of a feature enhancement in the platform
- Take operational ownership of services you have delivered to production

**Minimum Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Experience with some Relational SQL or NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Postgres, Redshift and Snowflake.
- Experience with ETL Tools: Pentaho, Informatica, ODDI, DataStage, Talend, etc.
- Basic Linux skills (e.g. command-line tools, bash scripts).
- Experience of working in an Agile environment is desired.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages..

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Experience programming in Python or Go.
- Experience with Spark and some of the following Big data tools like Hadoop or Kafka.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Argo, Airflow, etc.
- Experience with Cloud ETL Tools: Boomi, Matillion, etc.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage customer expectations and provide post-implementation support experience.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
- Analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets (JSON, Binary, CSV, AVRO, etc.).
- Experience with implementing data security and role based access controls.
